A Glance from a Believers Past for Unity in the Church of Tomorrow
We speak so often of God in heaven, His archangels and creation that sometimes we forget our Lord has been mingling for centuries. Back in 1929 Don Byron wrote of his character Heiliger Paulus revelations, “The song of archangels before God in heaven seemed to him to have the thunder of the wandering stars: All thy high creations are lordly, as on earth’s first day.”[1] Mr. Byron wrote often of the insights God “permitted to faithful to write.” And now we are blessed with his meditations to share once again.
You participate in the reality of Christ by looking to the heavens in aw, listening to Gospel in belief, or extracting Him out of imagination. Now it’s time to participate in the Churches new evangelization. Millions ramp and rave about injustice, but won’t say yes to God. There are thousands of acts to follow, but only One will be with us forever; Jesus.
“The next day Paul accompanied us on a visit to James and all the presbyters were present. He greeted them, then proceeded to tell them in detail what God had accomplished among the Gentiles through His ministry. They praised God when they heard it but said to him, “Brother, you see how many thousands of believers there are from among the Jews, and they are all zealous observers of the law.
They have been informed that you are teaching all the Jews who live among the Gentiles to abandon Moses and that you are telling them not to circumcise their children or observe their customary practices. What is to be done? They will surely hear that you have arrived?” (Acts 21:18-22 NABRE)
I’m going to pray for your understanding and good will. The whole world is moving towards a new beginning through peaceful ends. The wealth of Christianity needs presbyters that work in unity with other religions to know God, can we count on your support?
