A Lenten Appeal for Silent Contemplation: Be Humbled in Christ’s kind Works
Silent contemplation produces kind works, simple solutions, and steadfast faith; each Lenten season is perfect for Spiritual Renewal, sewn together they are forty days to a renewed you. Quiet reflection opens our mind while scripture environs its soul, so the heart can know love. God made life simple, but man, woman and a serpent produced sin that made it precarious. Christ overcame the perils of life to solve problems with sin.
Our Lord’s great works are keeping inequity in check. Faith in the Holy Spirit is a simple solution to sin. During Lent, His sanctified Ghost creates allure of faith for those on the edge of conversion, but needing reassurance. Only Christ can fully renew ones spirit; many have tried to duplicate this living and breathing entity, it is the mystery of life. But God needs no resolution outside Himself to produce kind works in you, just a yes will do.
“Now that you excel in every respect, in faith, discourse, knowledge, all earnestness, and in the love we have for you, you may excel in this gracious act also. I say this not by way of command, but to test the genuineness of your love by your concern for others.
For you know the gracious act of our Lord Jesus Christ, that for your sake He became poor although He was rich, so that by His poverty you might be rich. And I am giving council in this matter, for it is appropriate for you who began not only to act but to act WILLINGLY last year: complete this now, so that your eager willingness may be matched by your completion of it out of what you have.” (2 Corinthians 8:9-11 NABRE)
You’ve made a courageous gesture towards Spiritual Renewal; the type of faith or time in faith doesn’t matter as its strength. God will answer if you trust pure knowledge and respect the power behind it. Be humbled this Lenten season, as the Church works towards unity, trust the glamor of God.
