Students for universal suffrage: Assemble Peacefully with Harp and Good Cheer
Entertain this phrase taken from the WSJ, “We just want Universal Suffrage.” Spoken by Kim Tang, a female protestor in China, where prominent Students for Democracy are challenging its status quo government.[1] Why collective suffering? Does the young lady want voting rights, widespread misery to end, or a short prayer of intersession? My guess is all three concessions by her Government and she is not alone.
Every Nation is witnessing upheaval of some sort. Here in America the National Guard took part in policing Protests after a court decision freed a white police officer who questionably ended a black teen’s life. Dearest friends and neighbors rest assured, Jesus is working miracles across every border in preparation for His unilateral Reign on Earth. I guarantee God is in tune with worldwide turmoil and is forming allegiances where His Living Words are shared.
“Sing praise to the LORD with the lyre, with the lyre and melodious song. With trumpets and the sound of the horn shout with joy to the King, the LORD. Let the sea and what fills it resound, the world and those who dwell there.
Let the rivers clap their hands, the mountains shout with them for joy, Before the LORD who comes, who comes to govern the earth, To govern the world with justice and the peoples with fairness.” (Psalm 98:5-9 NABRE)
Today’s short intersession was read this morning at Mass. When people Assemble Peacefully with Harp and Good Cheer the Holy One can move mountains; but when Chaos, Riots or Rebellion is threatening the safety of others, He’ll turn away in disgust. Let God be your justice ye who suffer form of Discrimination, for only a Trinity of Love can set contrite souls Free from Suffrage.
