Father in Heaven Teach us to be Patient and in Your Control
A slow and steady detachment from material possessions can lead to amendable service for God. A few five letter words: Power, Greed, and Pride describe major stumbling blocks in life. All three are a menace to society and tarnish relations with our Father in heaven. Luckily God is always pleased with confessors. He alone can instill a Spirit of humility in people.
A humbled soul can obtain absolution through Christ Jesus. He taught humanity how to worship wholeheartedly, to let go of arrogance, and pray for others in need. The serum for righteousness is the Body and Blood of Christ which brought freedom to this world. Through Baptism we are freed from sin, forgiven, and empowered to spread the Gospel. Christian workers cleave Christ to overcome life’s stumbling blocks, follow His Truth’s to shine for others.
“For the choir director: A Psalm of David. O Lord, how long will you forget me? Forever? How long will you look the other way? How long must I struggle with anguish in my soul, with sorrow in my heart everyday? How long will my enemy have the upper hand? Turn and answer me O Lord my God! Restore the light into my eyes, or I will die.
Don’t let my enemies gloat saying, “We have defeated him!” Don’t let them rejoice at my downfall. But I trust your unfailing love. I will rejoice because you have rescued me. I will sing to the Lord because He has been so good to me.” (Psalm 13 NLT)
Why have you summoned the Psalmist? Each reason is legit, each complaint accounted, and scratched into history. Leave them there and join us in prayer. God will take care of tussles when the time is right. Let’s bow low before tomorrow and bend a bit today so God’s help will find its way.
