Give the Load to Jesus
In warm summer months our days get loaded with worldly appeals; demands at work, vacation plans and family outings can interfere with solemn prayer time. Flashes-of-Fashion appear across our horizons screaming buy-me and try-me because its in style. Longer days allow holiday plans to out proportion our budgets when it comes to loved ones; however, our Lord has abundant provisions.
God provides consignment to those who ask and believe wholeheartedly in His Living Words; His sacred writings are filled with awe and surprise. Amazing provisions are given to Faithful-Followers of the Way-Jesus-Lived. Each day we have a chance to bless the world we live in by living humble, charitable works and letting go of anxiety caused by envy. This summer surprise one another by placing failures at the Cross-of-Christ.
When Jesus finished giving these commands to his twelve disciples,[a] he went away from that place to teach and to preach in their towns
When John heard in prison of the works of the Messiah, he sent his disciples to him with this question, “Are you the one who is to come, or should we look for another?” Jesus said to them in reply, “Go and tell John what you hear and see: the blind regain their sight, the lame walk, lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the poor have the good news proclaimed to them. And blessed is the one who takes no offense at me.”
As they were going off, Jesus began to speak to the crowds about John, “What did you go out to the desert to see? A reed swayed by the wind? Then what did you go out to see? Someone dressed in fine clothing? Those who wear fine clothing are in royal palaces. Then why did you go out? To see a prophet? Yes, I tell you, and more than a prophet. This is the one about whom it is written:
‘Behold, I am sending my messenger ahead of you; he will prepare your way before you.’ (Mathew 11:1-10 NABRE)
Preparing the way for the Lord’s return is our calling, the mission lets Jesus carry burdens, inspire loved ones and deliver us from evil. The Messiah was an omnipotent force on Earth; while in heaven He takes no offence at trespasses made by humanity. But insists we consider His missionaries as Proof-of-Prophecy for coming events. Join us in promoting His good will through a Spirt-of-Understanding the Good-News shared in humble prayer.
