Jesus Toiled and Labored, but did Not Go-with-the Flow
This morning as I was absorbing the love of God when the Holy Spirit made me realize that Christ too, grew from a child into a man. Imagine His Boyhood, Adolescence, and Bouts with puberty. As a child Jesus fed upon His Father’s word. And each syllable prepared Him to guide all souls towards heaven, but first He became a Carpenter. I presume He apprenticed under his dad’s Guidance and Served society. Along the way His fully human hands were Scraped, Smashed, Bruised, and Bled-Red as do any Craftsman.
Although Jesus kept God’s commands in His heart He still Toiled and Labored until it was time to shine a New Light into this World. After a forty-day Trek in the desert He began a Ministry that would eventually become our Church. Christ did not Go-with-the-Flow of humanity. Instead, He brought to Light God’s word; sacrifice and humility now flows through Him and into all Nations.
“But you, Timothy, belong to God; so run from all evil things, and follow what is right and good. Pursue a godly life, along with faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness. Fight the good fight for what we believe. Hold tightly to eternal life that God has given you, which you have confessed so well before many witnesses. And I command you before God, who gives life to all, and before Christ Jesus, who gave a good testimony before Pontius Pilate, that you obey His commands with all purity.
Then no one can find fault with you from now until our Lord Jesus Christ returns. For at the right time Christ will be revealed from heaven by the blessed and only Almighty God, King of Kings, and Lord of lords. He alone can never die and He lives in light so brilliant that no human can approach Him. No one has ever seen Him, nor ever will. To Him be honor and power forever, Amen.” (1 Timothy 6
Paul told Timothy that His services would better serve God than humanity. No matter what Material, Vision or Service folks provide to others it should create Social Justice. When you are scrutinized by others, as is most certain, does our Lord’s will prevail? If so, then what is Written and Preached as Truth throughout this world has called you to bear witness to the Living Word of God.
