In the past there was Ruralization, Urbanization, and now there’s Regionalism. I remember when Hipsters were moving to the hills to spend time in rural environments away from pollution, traffic, and city life. Then families took to the suburbs where they lived amongst similar clusters of people. According to today’s Wall Street Journal there’s a new vision shaping certain Municipalities; Regionalism. Decentralization is kind of sexy. Mrs. Kersten wrote, “It’s an ideology shifting power and re-engineering society; on behalf of Equity and Sustainability.”[1] No longer will the poor and under privileged live on the cusp of societies rich and famous, but in a diversified region. Cities that are “racially and economically integrated into environmentally sustainable communities” 57 will spread poverty and riches to harmonize our nation’s infrastructure. So mass transit, work, and play can be done without having to spend a small fortune in transportation costs.

This world is Culture Biased and stagnated by Prejudice. But through prayer and communication many regions are being Baptized into believing God. In Paradise the Lion and Lamb will play with Child and Wolf; is regionalism the beginning? Jesus would love to have all His family worshiping under One roof with many shoots; to see people of all creeds, Walking or Riding together to worship His Father, work and dine in Harmony. Imagine Neighbors sharing their wealth of Talents and Teaching the less fortunate how to increase their Standards of Living. Peace is dependent upon your will to unite People and all Creation through Sustainable Living.

“O Israel, how can you say the Lord does not see your troubles? How can you say God refuses to hear your case? Have you never heard or understood? Don’t you know that the Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth? He never grows faint or weary. No one can measure His depths of understanding.

He give power to those who are tired and warn out; He offers strength to the weak. Even youths will become exhausted, and young men will give up. But those who wait on the Lord will find new strength. They will fly high on new wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:27-31 NLT)

How many ways does this bit of scripture reflect the troubles of Segregation? Who would be tired and warn out from being underpaid, over worked, or scratching to make ends meet. Who are those wanting to flee slavery? God understands and is tired of being ignored. Our Lord hears petitions night and day, He sees Malnourished and Irritated people bundled together according to beliefs, color, and cash; don’t we all want Peace in this New Millennium, then ask God to guide your regional movements.
