Priority of Worship is God. Recently my favorite radio station announced the urgent need to, “Make Religious Worship a Priority” [1] Turns out society has decided to worship everything under the sun except for the Son-of-God. Many folks shower their hearts desire emotionally and physically even though their idol is Lifeless and Spiritually dead. Since the inception of time God warned about such actions. Has anything Holy or Devout has fallen out of favor in your neighborhood?

Does your House-of-Worship or neighborhood try and make holy rather than be holy? Come to think of it, what does religion have to do with daily worship anyway? Lord knows the importance of His Tabernacles, do the Bodies who Gather-in-Worship realize they are in a Sacred place? Religious conviction is the way back to God. His handiwork makes a person, place or creature Holy with the presence of His Holy-Spirit. When Jesus said, through Him with him and in Him people become One with God; His priority shifted from this world to the God of Heaven and Earth, His Father. From inception His Truth in Living Words encouraged all people to be Holy through sharing Sacred-Scripture and Faith-in-God never an idol of this world!

The Lord of Heaven’s Armies says, “The day of judgment is coming, burning like a furnace. On that day the arrogant and the wicked will be burned up like straw. They will be consumed—roots, branches, and all.

“But for you who fear my name, the Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in his wings. And you will go free, leaping with joy like calves let out to pasture. On the day when I act, you will tread upon the wicked as if they were dust under your feet,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.

“Remember to obey the Law of Moses, my servant—all the decrees and regulations that I gave him on Mount Sinai for all Israel.

“Look, I am sending you the prophet Elijah before the great and dreadful day of the Lord arrives. His preaching will turn the hearts of fathers to their children, and the hearts of children to their fathers. Otherwise I will come and strike the land with a curse.” (Malachi 4:1-5 NLT)

It’s amazing how far societal norms are from God’s original 10 Commandments. Here is couple that are directly in tune with today’s message just in case our readers have never read them themselves:

  • Thou shalt have no other gods before me.” …
  • “Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image.” …

When the Lord returns parishioners will be trembling in the streets not because God’s Rocking-the-House but because the whole world’s Priority will be Salvation. Their Devotion to the Almighty God will wake them in the morning, shake them in the daylight and roll them into One-Body-of-Christ. I believe it is time to return to our roots, the Lamb-of-God is calling, make Him your Daily-Devotion!
