Serious misfortunes plague this World: become One Church grieving in offense
Global agitations are synonymous with Worship, Prayer, and Spiritual interactions; today’s message is about Slavery. Now and then international petition sends prophets into frenzy. In reply they’re granted insight, here’s mine from The Robe, a book stashed away in our Library-of-Wisdom.
And I quote, “If a healthy hard working Ass, can be had for ten drachmas, and an able-bodied Man can be had for two silver talents, the difference in their worth is purely quantitative. Human slavery is abhorrent, offensive to Human Spirit, and disregards Human Dignity.”[1] Men, women, and children are fleeing their birthplaces to escape forced Servitude. Unwanted and Provocative encroachment of their culture are causing them grief beyond repair.
Some, In the Hopes of Rising-Again, are gathering into Prayer, you and I can feel their suffering. Modern Slavery entails Prostitution, Sweat-Shops, and Resource-Mining; but there are many ways in which bondage transpires. Slavery is a numerical driven Wickedness that is centuries old; together as One Church grieving in offense, let us Pray for the Inflicted.
“Now I urge those who read this book not to be disheartened by these misfortunes, but to consider that these punishments were meant not for the ruin but for the correction of our nation. It is, in fact, a sign of great kindness to punish the impious promptly instead of letting them go for long.
Thus, in dealing with other nations, the Sovereign Lord patiently waits until they reach the full measure of their sins before punishing them; but with us he has decided to deal differently, in order that he may not have to punish us later, when our sins have reached their fullness. Therefore he never withdraws his mercy from us. Although he disciplines us with misfortunes, he does not abandon his own people.” (Maccabees 6:12-16 NABRE)
Serious misfortunes plague this World. Atrocities inflicted upon beings made in the image of God do not go unpunished. Where to go from here? Insist on Global Reparation, speak-out in Contrition, and make public those who insist on Social-Fragmentation.
