This Lenten Season Help Immigrants Move-in-Spirit
This weekend our Spirit expressed interest in a tribute to Michael Novak, a Theologian who devoted his life to writing and defending Capitalism. Current concerns about Immigration, Tyranny and Free-Enterprise came to mind. When reading the WSJ devotion: A Theologian Who Defended Capitalism, a few lines elevated my inner curiosity. Novak wrote that in the seventies Catholic Immigrants didn’t want their kids dropping Acid or their daughters sleeping around.” [1] Obviously not all immigrants were raised with Sex, Drugs and Materials inhibiting their Faith-in-God.
Oppression or Dependency isn’t to blame for a human’s selfish addiction to Mammon. For Greed, Ambition and Wealth only lure souls away from Holiness, but Satan commands the regime. Sainthood isn’t skin deep; it’s acutely manifests in one’s entire being becoming a Freed-Enterprise of God. Manic-Oppression can only take place in a World which Christ overcame with His Life, Death and Resurrection. Our voyage together can help restore the Affluence-of-Prayer through Biblical-Internships across the World.
“Now indeed [then] it is, in any case, a failure on your part that you have lawsuits against one another. Why not rather put up with injustice? Why not rather let yourselves be cheated? Instead, you inflict injustice and cheat, and this to brothers. Do you not know that the unjust will not inherit the kingdom of God?
Do not be deceived; neither fornicators nor idolaters nor adulterers nor boy prostitutes nor sodomites nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor robbers will inherit the kingdom of God. That is what some of you used to be; but now you have had yourselves washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.” (1Corinthians 6:7-11 NABRE)
As we enter into Lenten Season let’s keep working together in Prayer and Preparation for the coming Holy-Days. Being a Radical of the Seventies is no different from being a Thug of the Nighties or Player of the New-Millennium; there comes a time when God Pulls-the-Plug on egotistic offspring and makes a pact for Better-or-Worse till dust they return. Help support Immigrants this year by Moving-in-Spirit, Praying–in-Peace and Serving-in-Humility.
