Trek along for Forty Days in Spiritual Renewal: to be reconciled in Peace
Welcome to this voyage in Christ. Today we begin a forty day journey in honor of Jesus of Nazareth. The Son of God came to earth bearing gifts of the Holy Spirit. He condemned all evils and encouraged fine works. No life is trivial to God in heaven, in retrospect, all life is mysteriously being made anew. Through waters of Baptism, anointing of body, and words of faith people begin their life as Christians.
Our Father in heaven gathers people together that preserve His Church. Church members are asked to live life according to scripture. It is hard to embrace Truth when surrounded by deceit. When Christ began His ministry He left society behind and Trekked for forty days; during which He was nourished by God, protected by angels, and led in Spirit; Satan himself tried to sever His birthright and FAILED! Let’s embrace the powers of God to preserve, reconstruct, and introduce the solidarity of Christ to all lands.
“Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits at God’s right hand in the place of honor and power. Let heaven fill your thoughts. Do not think only about things down here on earth. For you died when Christ died, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God.
And when Christ, who is your real life, is revealed to the whole world you will share in all His glory. So put to death all the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual sin, impurity, lust, and shameful desires. Don’t be greedy for the good things of this life, for that is idolatry.” (Colossians 3:1-5 NLT)
Just what you’ve been longing to receive; reassurance is here, there, and everywhere on earth and in the heavens. Psalms are sung to glorify, sin is forgiven to purify, and alms are offered to console our Father in heaven. Begin your Lenten journey with His Truth and never look back!
