Voyaging the Rivers of Salvation
The Rivers of Salvation are narrow but sweet, far reaching but always close, and spontaneous but never-ending deliverance from evil ways. In the early stages of conversion our Lord offers Baptismal waters to wash away sinfulness. His Living Words provide Historical-Truths to begin our pastoral connection with God. Like the rivers of Fresh Water that numerate the Earth our Lord’s Love flows abundantly to all creation encumbered only by false beliefs. As we journey deeper into the Way-of-the-Cross the Spirit-of-Salvation fills voids that hampered our past relationship with the Almighty.
Christ’s journey to the Cross took just a few years after beginning His ministry to the time of His Resurrection from death. Yours truly celebrated nineteen years of Belief in the Saving-Power-of-God last month. One might think that life after conversion is a Spiritual Bed-of-Roses but there’s thorns (Pica-de-Pechos) pricked across the chest of every individual brother and sister. Those who Confess-Wisely enjoy knowing and believing Jesus overcame this World-of-Sin so we could navigate this world in His Mighty-Name.
On another occasion he began to teach by the sea. A very large crowd gathered around him so that he got into a boat on the sea and sat down. And the whole crowd was beside the sea on land. And he taught them at length in parables, and in the course of his instruction he said to them, “Hear this! A sower went out to sow.
And as he sowed, some seed fell on the path, and the birds came and ate it up. Other seed fell on rocky ground where it had little soil. It sprang up at once because the soil was not deep. And when the sun rose, it was scorched and it withered for lack of roots. Some seed fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up and choked it and it produced no grain. And some seed fell on rich soil and produced fruit. It came up and grew and yielded thirty, sixty, and a hundredfold.” He added, “Whoever has ears to hear ought to hear.”
And when he was alone, those present along with the Twelve questioned him about the parables. He answered them, “The mystery of the kingdom of God has been granted to you. But to those outside everything comes in parables, so that ‘they may look and see but not perceive, and hear and listen but not understand, in order that they may not be converted and be forgiven.’” (Mark 4:1-12 NABRE)
The mystery of His Living Words takes place every day in vibrant and profound ways. Our Lord is known for Rocking-the-Boat in Supernatural ways. His seed is the Living-Word that propels souls out of darkness and into fertile surroundings where folks can Breathe-in-Peaceful environ. Thanks for taking time to share this message of why the Rivers-of-Salvation exist.
