A few months back we congratulated Mexico on its Junk-Food Tax and challenged our great nation to take note. Today I feel the Holy Spirit echoing through our Body (the Church). His dilemma, resounding Dong of Dummies who want to Tax Health aficionados. That’s right, after years of death, disease, and negative social disposition due to poor health and obesity, Washington wants a “Wellness Tax.”[1] The wave of brilliance illustrates how narrow minded some people can be. The Tax, according to the WSJ, would honor Yoga buffs, gym owners, cycling instructors, and Cross-fit trainers.[1] If that don’t ripple your vertebrae Jesus might.

Our Lord knows Governments must Tax as did Cesar in His day. He also knows Preachers all over the world have been urging brothers and sisters everywhere to take care of themselves. Our Bodies are Sacred Temples and Glorify God’s works. But there are some who want to mock the Spirit of Wellness and Good Health with a slap of recompense for honoring God Almighty. Now is the time to be outspoken and teach Health, Wellbeing, and Education through His Living Words.

“The voice of the Lord is Power; the voice of the Lord is Splendor. The voice of the Lord cracks the cedars; the Lord splinters the cedars of Lebanon, Makes Lebanon leap like a calf, and Sirion like a bull. The voice of the Lord strikes a fiery flame; the voice of the Lord shakes the desert; the Lord shakes the desert of Kadesh.

The voice of the Lord makes the deer dance and strips the forests bare. All in His Temple say, “Glory!” The Lord sits enthroned above the flood! The Lord reigns as king forever! May the Lord give might to His people; may the Lord bless His people with Peace.” (Psalms 29:4-11 NABRE)

The voice of the Lord is Healthy, Wealthy, and Wise enough to know who’s running the show. Those who seek Peace are centered in Faith and Fitness of all living things. Is the voice of a “Wellness Tax”[1] really what this Nation wants to barter the lives of up and coming youth with? YOU! Are the voice of the Lord who is whipping through the Wilderness today, what do YOU have to say?
